Worship Extra

Back at Westpoint by popular demand

Main meetings

There is opportunity for everyone to gather for a time of worship and a Bible reading each morning and then again for a big celebration in the evening with an extended time of worship and teaching from a main speaker.

In these meetings we look to worship God and hear from Him, seeking fresh encounters with the Holy Spirit as we seek to be equipped to play our part in the great commission.

For those who prefer a more relaxed setting, all the main meetings are streamed live into the Plaza where you can watch and hear the sessions on a big screen. A coffee/tea stand serves this venue.

Count Everyone In

Adults with learning disabilities and on the autism spectrum are welcome in many of our churches but may understand little of what they see and hear. At Westpoint we are excited to be partnering once again with Pete and Christine Winmill and their team. Pete and Christine are passionate about reaching adults with learning disabilities with the love of Jesus and equipping churches to disciple them in their faith. They have run sessions at Westpoint before as well as several other Christian conferences.

Each morning there will be a session intended specifically, but not exclusively for adults with learning disabilties and on the autism spectrum. There will be sensitively led worship, easy to understand Bible teaching, drama, art craft and much more.

For those who want to dig deeper, seminars run throughout the day covering topics ranging from the highly practical to the deeply theological.

Programme details will be updated as they are confirmed, so keep checking the website for information.

Worship Extra

Back by popular demand, for those who enjoy more time in sung worship, we will again be running Worship Extra, a time for meeting with and hearing from God.

Commission Youth exists to help you meet with God, so our meetings are designed for that purpose.

Outside of the meetings we have a packed programme of activities which are not to be missed.

For details of seminars and festival activities, check out the Westpoint handbook.

Meeting with God

Not just an opportunity to sing songs and listen to preaching, the times together provide a place where you can participate – it’s our aim to ensure that anyone can contribute as the Holy Spirit leads us. So at Westpoint 2018, come expecting God to speak to and through you to bless and encourage others!

After the morning sessions we break out into smaller workshop groups. Accessible and interactive, the workshops provide something for everyone. Past topics have included: the Holy Spirit, reading your Bible, prayer, leadership, and “ask any question”. We’d like to do more! Why not check out our Facebook page and send us your suggestions for 2018? It would be great to hear from you!

Who leads & speaks?

Dave Rogers leads the Commission Youth team and will be hosting the sessions. “We’re really excited about all God will do at Westpoint this year.”

Joe Liddiard and his team will lead our worship times – these are a vital part of our gatherings and Joe and the musicians, singers and technicians do a fantastic job helping us to praise and worship God.

Programme details will be updated as they are confirmed so keep an eye on the website! It’s shaping up to be a great weekend! Keep an eye on our Facebook page for the latest.

Our ‘White T-Shirt’ team members will be there throughout Westpoint to help, encourage and pray with you if needed.

Out of Hours

When the sessions are over, there’s still more you can do! Pete and Matt and their fantastic team of helpers are ready at The Youth Tent with all sorts of fantastic activities.

Check back soon or visit our Facebook page for latest details on the out of hours acitivies on offer.
